A washing machine for Monikas Doggie Rescue…
3.05.10 # 4:56 # Doggie Rescue # 11 CommentsMy hoomans, well no – my mum bought a new washing machine. Apparently one of the reasons was my smelly selfs bed… But I guess that was just an excuse. She wanted to have something more German with lots of buttons, different programs and temperatures you can adjust that is on top of all water sufficient and energy saving.
Anyway – our old washing mashine was still just working fine and had done a lot of washing work for Momikas Doggie rescue in the past. So we decided instead of putting it up on Ebay we might as well donate it to Monikas Doggie Rescue as they have been looking old washing machines before. So someone came to pic the machine up a couple of weeks ago and I, unfortunately wasn’t even allowed to supervise because he brought his doggy along who did the supervision
PAH! I’m sure I would have done a better job…
There are 5 ways to help Momika’s and you can find them HERE or read on…
1. Adopt a dog
All our dogs are health checked, desexed, micro-chipped & vaccinated. Click here for pictures and stories about all our rescued dogs. When you adopt a dog you are in effect saving 2 LIVES … by making a space for us to rescue another one!
2. Foster a dog
Doggierescue has recently lost its animal shelter and we have struggled to find suitable replacement premises. In the meantime we are totally reliant on foster carers to offer our rescue dogs a temporary home. Often this is only for a few weeks, or months. If you are not currently able to commit to adopting a pet please consider fostering a doggie– it’s an incredibly rewarding experience and YOU could make a huge difference! Without foster homes, we are in the terrible predicament of being forced to drive away, leaving dogs behind to die on death row. Can you help? Click here for more info on becoming a foster parent.
3. Become a volunteer
Rescuing dogs means there is always a lot of work to do. Join our dedicated team of volunteers who are always in desperate need of extra hands to help care for our doggies. Click here to read more about current volunteer jobs.
4. Say NO to animals in Pet Shops
With tens of thousands of dogs destroyed in NSW alone each year why breed more just for commercial gain? Tell your friends and family about Doggierescue and you can be responsible for saving a life! Click here to read more about the SAYNOTOANIMALSINPETSHOPS campaign.
5. Make a donation or purchase some of our fine dog-related merchandise. Click here to find out more

Oops! I did not see your word verification. So what I said was that momma is just waiting for our 20 year old washy machine to die so that she can get a fancy pants front loader, but a donation would be a good excuse to upgrade now.
Slobbers,
Mango
Yeah that is probably a good idea… But tell your mom that my mom got really confused with all the fancy buttons and had to pull the plug quite a few times because the washing machine started to wash at 90 degrees and things like that! She then said something like that she didn’t know one needed a diploma to work a modern washing machine and that is was a shame that it didn’t come with a “doggie desmellyfy” button….
Hey Mr. Teal’C!
I’m sure you would have done a better supervising job here! Anyhow – the little guy looks like he gave his best
Take care. Slobbers from the other end of the world!
Yeah – he did… Somehow the little ones are kinda cute – hey?!
Yes Teal’c, you would have supervised the job better!
that little guy seemed to be on the ball, so I guess he did a good job. the doggie rescue organisation seems to be a very worthy cause.
Yeah – doggie rescue is always a worthy case and Monikas is a non-kill-shelter! So all doggies can stay there as long as it takes to find a family.
The little one really looks matter of fact – hey?!
Thats cool about donating the washing machine! What a great idea, too bad you couldn’t at least help supervise!
hola!, thanks 4 the info, this post was very very nice ! I just received a copy of a awesome Mastiff Book. Wow! I recommend it for anyone thinking of getting a mastiff !
