Bardwell Valley Golf Club – lake inclusive!

Oh boy – I tell you that is one of my favorite spots in Sydney… A big golf course with a lake! It is just lovely in summer and in winter as well as it doesn’t get cold over here anyway. AND it is freshwater, dirty it might be but it doesn’t cause diarrhea like the strange tasting water from the huge lake called sea… So my human actually throws balls and sticks for me as it doesn’t matter how much I swallow. (Why has this word the same spelling as those little black, nervous birds!?) So anyway – it is endless fun. Especially when we meet Juanita and all her doggies. Ahhhhh – then we are having a ball! :)

Now you can’t go there before 5:30 PM because until then the whole place is for those humans with their weird little hard balls and wooden sticks. What a waste me thinks! I’m not even allowed to play with either of them – PAH! And theoretically you can’t go there after 5:30 PM either. But for a nice change twoleggers and fourleggers seem to coexist there quite peacefully. Sometimes there are golfers after hours but they don’t mind us and as long as we and our people keep it all clean it really doesn’t seem to be a problem. Bottom line: it is not official and it might get you into trouble but we think it is worth the risk. Just look at the pics and you will understand why!!!! :)

That's our play-group - all nicely lined up :)

Ok – how do you get to the Bardwell Valley Golf Club!? If you come from the city you drive up Princess highway and turn right into Forest Road. The golf course is at Hillcrest Ave, Bardwell Valley, Sydney, NSW but you best park at the end of Pile Street (google maps here). Then you will have the course to your left and the official off leash area to your right…

Ohhh – and I wish I could meet you too! All my doggie blog friends actually… It’s such a shame that we are all so far away from each other!

Hehe Lexi – I saw your pics from the beach… The big sea thing is much more scary the a lake anyway. All those waves!!! So I guess you would be just fine in a lake. But don’t worry – at the beginning my humans were laughing about me as well saying that I swim like a sinking lead duck (dunno some strange translation from German) but in the meantime I would say I’m faster then my mom! So keep going Lexi!!! slobbers!!!!
