Biggie’s Dog Pile competition

Lately I came across lots of pictures with doggies covered with “stuff” like treats, shoes, flowers, toys, cups etc. … As bigger the dog as more “stuff”. Well, to be honest I always thought each to their own, we are living in a free world. Until yesterday when we finally found the reason behind those pictures on Honey’s blog (Please click and look at her! It is rather impressive!)

We went from Honey’s blog to Biggie’s blog and there the explanation we have been looking for was. Biggie’s Dog Pile competition is on and my hooman got all excited! She thinks it is a great idea and wants me to compete in it. I’m not quite sure what I have gotten myself into now but I know I’ll have to be very patient to get anywhere close to Honey. Even if the judges take the “surface area” into consideration – the challange is up and I have already started to meditate on it with things on my head:

IMG_5258Clarifications:

-each thing piled on the dog must actually be ON the dog, not next to or touching or leaning.

-stuffies, shoes, toys, pieces of biscuit or liver, all count so long as they are visible in the picture without Biggie-fying the picture.

-blankets, appliances, grandfather clocks, other cracker dogs and children (and stuff like that) are not appropriate

You look like a ballet dancer!!!! LOL

  • I don’t think cracker dogs sit still long enough to get added to the pile anyway …

  • Mango says:

Not every doggie is up to this most rigorous competition for sure. My labradork brother will not hold still so he is hoping to win on cuteness alone.

Looks like you might have to go with the cute vote too.

    Slobbers,
    Mango

  • Oh Teal’c – I think you’re in with a good chance! I love that picture! Hee! Hee! Actually, my entry isn’t that impressive at all – you should check out some of the others that have come in since then – look for Moose the Labradane (he’s in my sidebar, if you haven’t visited him yet) and most impressive of all, so far, I think is El’bow the Mastiif who lives in Belgium (he’s in my sidebar too) – now THAT is a pretty impressive dog pile! I think he should win the contest!!!

    Slobbers,
    Honey the Great Dane

Oh yeah – the cuteness category might be something for me… But my mom hasn’t given up yet! She keeps piling… All about consistency :)

    Honey – I couldn’t find Mooses pic :( Help!
