Yeah, I know - I do look ridiculous but what can you do if you only have paws?!
Today we didn’t do anything exciting as my dad had to work all day and my mom spend the day working feeling sorry for herself after she came home late last night giggling all the time?! Not sure what that was all about… Anyway – I got a big bone for my birthday, met my girlfriend Dash and went for a long walk. Next weekend my mom said I can invite all my doggie friends and we are going to have a party – YEAH!!!! Dunno why that wasn’t possible this weekend but the humans said something like earning money to buy my bones?! I’m sure the just appear in that cold white thing when you close it over night… Always one there in the morning when I’m sitting in front of it waiting.
I am a really lucky dog and glad that my humans rescued me and bones and party – all great but my mom also had to take those pics and and and NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I don’t want to be seen like that!
At least Honey the Great Dane got a little hat for her birthday. That looked cool but me?! I’m a man and I was forced to wear that crown thingy just because my mom had nothing else at hand. NOT FAIR!!!

Oh Gosh – Teal’c – I have to say, I did pause when I saw you in that tiara and wondered if I had got your gender wrong…I was so sure you were a boy!
Looking forward to hearing all about your party! About my cake, my human just did a search online for “Dog birthday cakes” and found several recipes. She actually combined 2 recipes: one for peanut butter & carrot cake and one for banana & carob cake – coz she couldn’t be bothered to shred carrots or find carob – so she just made it into “peanut butter & banana” cake. She sort of messed up the ingredient amounts and so it came out more like a loaf of bread than cake texture but she said the good thing about doggie birthday cakes is that the dogs won’t complain! HA! HA! So if your human just does a search online, she should find lots of recipes. You can make sweet ones or you can also make “meaty” ones like liver cake, which are really yum too!

Penny also thinks the big cold white thing in the kitchen makes dogfood, but she knows there’s also a connection with humans coming and going, as she always takes the time to sniff any carry-bags that come into the house, to discover whether they hold meat.
@ Paris and Bel Ami: Thanks for saying hello! We will keep reading your blog and if it is just for my mom to get sad because there are, apparently, no really nice forests in Australia…
@ Honey: I know I look like a girl… but what can you do… I just hope that my human will buy a cool hat for me for my party. If I have to wear that thing my party will happen without me!!!!!
I never get anything unhealthy as she thinks I wont taste the difference anyway – treat is treat. And you mom thinks the same! Little do they know while they are sitting on their sofas eating chips and chocolate… PAH!!!! But she said she will have a search and I’ll get a cake – let’s wait and see… 
Your cake sounds nice but I know my mom and she is absolutely no fun when it comes to my food
@ Dash: Thanks for still loving me! I hope that none of the other boys that adore you ever see those pics! You wouldn’t want to be seen with me anymore and the whole park would laugh… And you are right – the humans would say: aren’t they cute! Not fair!

And Penny could actually be right – there is also a connection with the humans and those green bags… now that you have pointed it out I’ll keep an eye on it next time!

Brutus still visits us to see if Mr Darcy is home. (Brutus is still an incredible escape artist). He cries when Mr Darcy sometimes when he sees Mr Darcy is not here and then he goes home.

Yep – the Staffy really looks like me. Do you know his parents in the meantime? I just hope he will never get into trouble for braking out… The poor thing is still crying!? My mom was too when she went back to you blog. She is a bit like that – when things happen to doggies she cries a lot… I hope you are feeling a bit better? I send you HEAPS of slobbers!!!!

Hello Teal’c! My mom told me about your blog and I came to say “Happy belated birthday”. I’m almost two years and also a rescued dog. My owner is a dog trainer and we have a kind of a doggie hotel so I’ve always plenty of other doggies around me to play with. And in one week, my mom told me, I get a “little brother”. I’m not sure, if I’m totally into it but I hope at least he has your eyes

I would love to have a little brother. Just not sure about sharing my moms bed with him… So I guess if I ever get a little brother we would need new rules and somehow I get the feeling that it would be going in the none of us will be allowed in the bed direction.
