OUCH and a few things about the loveliest vet in Sydney!

Look – it looks bad! Doesn’t it!? I think I deserved that big bone for all I went through!!! Poor me…
Hmmm – actually it wasn’t that bad. I can’t even remember when it happened but in situations like that my mom always just says: Staffys, what can you do…! Well, what can you?! I guess I was busy playing when it happened so I didn’t feel a thing. When my humans finally saw it they had their usual discussion. Dad: You gotta take him to the vet straight away! Mom: Come on – it will heal by it self. Then dad started to put “broken nail dogs” into google and that is what he got: LINK. Then my mom did the same thing and decided that it doesn’t look like that at all… So it went forwards and backwards for a while and I went back to bed… At the end my mom gave in and took me to da vet. I like my vet. Dr. Anne Fawcett is the best vet in Sydney. That is what I think and my humans think the same. Dr. Anne Fawcett is working for the Sydney Animal Hospitals Inner West. There is a branch just down the road from where we live but my mom always takes me to her even if that means a much longer trip by Rudi (her driving machine). Anne was there when my mom got me and I had only a little fur left and she well, also took my you know what I’m talking about… But I was quite young at the time so I don’t really miss them… Ok – that was off topic.
Anyway – I have been a good boy at the vet! I jumped on the table all by myself! My mom reckons I had forgotten what happened the last time… uhm – she might be right but there were treats involved. Definitely. So Anne looked at my toe and said (almost) exactly what my mom told my dad – all good. It isn’t broken and we will just have to wait until it is better again. No needles, cutting, pulling or similar involved. I got my treats and was free to go. Who says the vet is bad?!
And on top of it I got that big bone here! Yeah – it was so worth it!!!! ![]()

Oh boy!

Heaven!!!!

I’m glad to hear it was all okay. I agree with your humans that it’s better to be safe than sorry, because you dogs can’t tell us how much pain you are in, and you’re often so tough you just put up with pain.
I know – especially we Staffies…
Tealc’s human: Sometimes he runs into things (like walls, fences, parked cars, trees) while walking and looking after another dog or cat or while playing like a mad thing… And most of the time I’m like OMG he won’t ever get up again! Nothing. Absolutely nothing – he keeps going as if nothing had happened… They are tough. If they only could talk…
Teal’c
Sorry to hear you toe was injured. I´m glad that your visit to the vet went well. I like my vet too. What a beautiful bone you got! Yummy!
xoxo
Thor
Hi Thor! Yeah – that was a bone!!! Worth the vet visit… And I tell you what: where that one came from there are more!
Slobbers Teal’c
Oh, I think we’re going to register with your vet when we move to Sydney!! And WOW – that is one whopper of a bone!! You lucky pup!
By the way, I don’t know what is the story behind “Wordless Wednesday” either!
I just saw a lot of my blog friends always doing it – I think people find it useful when they’re too busy to do a big post and it’s a nice way to show funny/pretty pictures. This is the first time we’ve done one because my human is very busy at the moment…and also coz we thought that photo was a funny one! So yeah, you can post a Wordless Wednesday post anytime you fancy doing one! (on a Wed, of course!)
Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane
Hmmm – we like the idea of the wordless Wednesday. And my human has so many pics of me that don’t need words and in my opinion don’t need publishing either… but I guess you will find some of them here in the future, starting next Wednesday
You should move here straight away…
I would love to meet such a beautiful big girl as you are. There are not many Great Danes in the area where we live…
Slobbers from far too hot Sydney
Master T.
Poor Tealc,
I was sooo sad, because I wanted to come over but my Mom said that you have a sore Paw and because we play so hard and you are (almost) on crutches I can’t come because I’m anoying you????
Dash
Dash my love! I didn’t see your comment until now… You never annoy me! (well, sometimes, but I guess girls are like that) And my mom didn’t even tell me that you wanted to come over…
Shame that we can’t use Skype. xxx
