Sydney, 40 degrees, no party
22.11.09 # 4:27 # Me, Teal'c, My doggie friends # 12 CommentsToday it was 40 degrees in Sydney and it was actually the day of my birthday party. But my human decided that it is just far to hot for a bunch of dogs to play all day long and for a bunch of humans to stand in front of the BBQ.
So I was wondering what my Sunday entertaining would be like when I went into the backyard and and saw – 2 blue water-fun- thingys… And a moment later my girlfriend arrived!

2! Wow... It's going to be a great day!

Dash is here! YEAH!

She is just soooooo pretty.

Then we got really into it...

PLAYING! like true Staffies!

Can you see the little flower in the water?! I gave it to her earlier.

Ohhh boy! We are still playing... and I usually let her win in the end!

:)

Then we found something else...

Just endless fun!!!

Ok - now that is what I don't get with those humans... first we can have fun and then they do the whole washing the dog thing?! WHY!?!?!?

I'm over here! Just open the gate...

Sigh - what can you do?! Just paws, no hands...

See Dashs face?! Not impressed either... And the firm grip from her human.

Those shell-things are just right for cooling dogs, aren’t they? I’m sorry your heat wave is still continuing, and that those terrible bushfires are burning in NSW. We’ve had welcome relief from the horrible heat here in Victoria, and got so much beautiful rain that Penny’s second-ever flyball competition was washed out!
I was sorry the competition was cancelled, but the rain and the coolness is lovely.
Hi Teal’c!
What a great time you had playing with your girlfriend in those water fun things! Dash sure is a beauty!
xoxo

Hey Teal’c!
It looks like you and Dash had a lot of fun. Are these little blue water thingys great, or what?
Take care!
Oh my God – 40 degrees???!!! I can’t even IMAGINE being that hot!! (How am I ever going to survive Brisbane?)
You look like you had a great birthday, even if you didn’t manage to have a party!
Your girlfriend is so pretty!
SLobbers,

I have missed your comments. Slobbers Teal’c
@Parlance: They are sooooo cool! I got this one when I was little… It took my human quite a while to find one – apparently they get sold out in hours…
The rain is here – finally! I hope that will stop those nasty fires. Flyball competition?! We need to read your blog again to find out more
@Thor: She is – heh! And she is all mine. Well, sometimes her backyard smells like other dogs… But she keeps telling me that I’m the only one…
@Shiloh: If you only weren’t so far away you could come over…
Slobbers
@Honey: Ohhh you poor thing! I guess that is what you are in for, moving to Brisbane. They have weather like that all the time
It is a lot more tropical than Sydney. But I’m sure you will be fine. You will get used to it. I’m used to the heat and when we went to the blue mountains last winter I was freeeeezing all the time. My humans kept saying that it is not really cold but I thought it was… xxx
@Tank: So you do get my messages – great!
Thanks for the Birthday wishes. How old are you actually (if I may ask)?!
Dear Tealc,
again, thank you sooo much for the great fun day yesterday
BEST DAY EVER!!!
I love the water and that you have a pool makes me love you even more.
Dash xxx
P.S. next time I wear my Bikini !!
Ohhhhhh Dash! BIKINI!!! I’ll get my human to fill the pool up again asap!!!!!!!! And if I have to look sad and/or stare at her for hours!!! Don’t care, wanna see you in a bikini!
love T.
Hi there Teal’c
GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
What an interesting name you have…we love it! Thank you so much for visiting our blog – we always love to make new friends. You guys look like you are having so much fun in those shells – it sure must help with the heat. We can understand it since we are also in the southern hemisphere at the moment.
Listen, it’s great to meet you! We might not be around with blogging in the next couple of weeks…mom is off on holiday somewhere, but we’ll keep and eye on you all and when we are back to full time blogging will visit more often. Thanks again for popping by.
Lots of licks
MAXDOG IN SOUTH AFRICA
Test – just wanna see if I have such a nice pic now as well!
Hi Max! Thanks for coming to my blog as well!!!! I really think I should explain my name soon… I already promised it to other doggies…
I like reading your blog as I’m half South African and it is cool to see how the doggies live over there. My dad keeps telling me that the dogs in ZA are mostly there to guard the property and that they are not allowed to sleep in the bed with their humans.
Well – not many dogs are allowed to do that here either. I guess I’m quite lucky.
Anyway – I hope to read more from you soon. Slobbers Teal’c
