THE CATS
6.12.09 # 23:05 # Me, Teal'c # 5 CommentsI live in a suburb full of arrogant, according to my human beautiful, stubborn and suicidal cats! I’m actually not really sure what a cat is as I have never got really close to one of them. All I know is that they own the pavement when they are there and they don’t wag their tails to say hello but hiss at me straight away without saying hello… That is weird. But because they don’t smell like dogs I presume they aren’t despite the four legs…
Now my humans keep telling me that cats are evil and that they fight quite unfair when it comes down to it because they will attack my eyes. They are quite small though… I think I would win! But bottom line: My humans don’t trust me around cats and I don’t trust me either because I’m not sure what I actually want with them. Play or bite that is the question! From my pervious experiences when I got a little closer I would have to have the first bite if I want to win – they are fast little buggers with sharp claws… Hmmmm – lots of things I have to consider. Maybe rather play?! Anyway – as long as I’m not able to ignore them I’m not allowed off leash on the streets anymore.
Another thing I don’t get
Yes I start running after them but as soon as my mom calls me back I come… HUMANS!!! And she makes me walk past cats on the leash expecting me to ignore the CAT!? How am I supposed to ignore the cat??? Oh well – I guess the only way to be able to walk off leash again outside the park is to give in… In a couple of month maybe? I’m not going to make it too easy for my human… Stupid “consistency”…

Hi Teal’c,
I do not like cats too… and they like to taunt us knowing that we can’t do anything to them since we are on a leash… how unfair. I like to chase them if I see one. My hoomans say they have sharp claws and can jump off wall easily… but I still think we can nail them down if given a chance.
Licks, hero
Good Morning Teal’c,
You know those humans want us to have manners (which I hear is a good thing). I don’t mind cats, probably because I don’t know what they are. We don’t have many around where we live but I do have some issues with dogs. Mom and her trainers are working on it but heck I’m a rescue, I’m 7 years old and I don’t know if they will ever get it out of me but they keep trying. So pretty much I just don’t get to be with other doggies. I’m ok with that since I just love people.
AARF Kasha the Dainty Great Dane
Hi Hero… Yeah – I think we could do it! But as I said: it’s all about the first bite! I guess once they get their claws in we are screwed!!! If they would only behave like doggies… I mean I play happily with dogs smaller than cats. But they are so hostile
My humans were also talking about something like offense and defense?! Or was it defense and offense?!!? Hmmmmmmm… WOOF!
Hiya Kasha!
– or??
I know – humans always want something from us. Why can’t we just be dogs!? SIGH! But I see it that way: If I would live in a dog-pack I wouldn’t be able to sleep in the bed
Slobbers
Oh – and we just looked the word “dainty” up… and somehow the dictionary comes up with 3! different meanings. YUMMY, FUSSY and DELICATE => strange. Usually the meanings are at least similar to each other… I guess we can rule yummy out
From my hooman to your hooman: It is such a shame, especially with rescue dogs, that they can’t talk!
You never know what they went through before they came into your family the poor things… It’s good to read that another dog found a great loving home!
I shall be home in a couple of days and then you can have all the cats you want! Just don’t tell your mother!
Ohhhhhhhhh – my male human!!! You really are coming home?! Yes, yes, yes?!?!? I’m getting bored over here with all that “consistency”

Woof Woof Woof!
PS: I’ll pick you up on the airport! WOOF!
