Early morning walks in the Australian heat
9.01.10 # 21:34 # Doggy parks in Sydney, Off leash Parks in Sydney # 6 CommentsIt is hot in Sydney again! So hot that I don’t want to move during the day
I guess Honey the Great Dane and Penny know what I’m talking about.
So at the moment my hooman takes me for walkies at 6 in the morning. I dunno but I kinda get the feeling that she doesn’t really like it. At least not for the first 20min after her noisy clock next to the bed went off. To be honest – the real improvement comes on the way back when we get closer to the coffee place…
On Saturday we met with a really gorgeous Mastiff-Puppy girl I know because she lives just across the road. And guess what – she brought a girlfriend!!!! A hot blonde I tell you! I was into her straight away because she liked my rough playing a lot. Besides – I have been told that a Mastiff (even a girl) will be 20 times my size (at least) in a few month and I’m really not sure if I’m up for that
…
We had a beautiful early morning walk and play in Sydney Park! Sydney Park is off leash at all times, more info here for those that are new to my blog.
So while me and my friends Down Under are too hot to even go for walkies I’ll keep reading all those “we have heaps of snow” doggie blogs to get cool thoughts
Look here: Mango, Bolo, El’bow & Hauwii just to name a few… They all have the stuff called “snow” in there backyards now… HOW COOL IS THAT?!
- We had the park almost just for us!
- That’s Gipsy – cute hey?!
- As I said – she likes it rough!
- Two pretty girls…
- The hot Australian morning sun…
- And then Matt started a game…
- Whoever gets there first…
- Get’s the treat! I WON because I jumped over the others!

hello teal’c its dennis the vizsla dog hay i hav not seen snow myself but i am told by tucker and trixie that it is pretty cool!!! sum mite say downrite kold!!! ok bye
Watch out for those mastiff gals, especially the blonds. I know from experience that once they get to be full sized they can be most fierce in fending off your attentions, but be persistent. Deep down they love it.
Slobbers,
Mango
Hi Teal’c,
What a great park for some fun running and making new friends. Gipsy is a cute girl. I can see you’re the busy one with the game as the other girls just sat there wondering what to do…
Licks, hero
Mango – do you think her head will be as big as yours?! Because if yes she will be able to fit me in her mouth… Not sure if my ego can deal with that
Ohhh – and I can’t say it often enough – I would love to meet you all!!!!!!!!! Snow, beach or mountain…
Slobbers Teal’c
I know what you mean! I’m sitting on my computer here at 9:30 p m thinking I’d better get off to bed if I’m going to take Penny for a swim at 6 am. The trouble is, the nights are so hot that it’s hard to sleep and I end up getting exhausted if the heat continues for more than a couple of days.
But I guess we should be grateful that our dogs are introducing us to the early morning beauty. If I didn’t have a dog I wouldn’t be out of bed till 9!
Yep – that sound very familiar!!!
